Early Wednesday evening on Ferry Boulevard behind BJ’s in Stratford , a crane that was being loaded to be transported to Pennsylvania toppled over while being loaded on the carrier.  Assistant Fire Chief Lance Edwards told us small spill of diesel fuel was quickly contained and posed no hazard to the Housatonic River nearby. DEEP assisted firefighters and oversaw the cleanup with a local contractor.
