#sacredheartuniv — I had the pleasure of meeting with Michael Iannazzi, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Sacred Heart University and Funda Alp, Executive Director of Public Relations (she took the picture).  I was there to discuss having Sacred Heart University students create and run the marketing for DoingItLocal.com!  Nobody knows social media like college students and this is a great opportunity for students to learn and use real world applications instead of reading about.  It will benefit the students, the school, DoingItLocal and of course our sponsors and viewers!  I’ll keep you posted on our progress!

DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.
