1ish pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters had their hands full when an apartment house under construction by the city caught fire and extended to three other building at 350 Hanover Street. The firefighters are still battling the fire so of course they could not talk to me, but a next door neighbor told me that just before the fire started a couple in the next building had a loud argument. "Next thing I knew the house was on fire" and people were screaming for her to get out of her home which did catch fire. Thursday--10:03pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters were called to a fire in the basement of 272 Black Rock Avenue. Police were first on scene and rescued a child and elderly woman. When firefighters arrived shortly after they reported heavy smoke on the first, second and third floors. They began a search of the multi family home and a total of five adults and two children were rescued between firefighters and police.
