Fairfield News: Tree Worker Falls 40 Feet

Fairfield CT-- On Monday afternoon at 12:23 PM the Fairfield Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting that a tree worker had fallen from a tree at 188 Rock Major Road. Upon arrival, the Fire Department found the worker on the ground in the rear of the house. He had fallen over 40 feet. Under the Command of Assistant Chief Schuyler Sherwood, fire personnel immediately began treating the patient who was conscious and responsive. He did not appear to have life threatening injuries. The worker stated he had an issue with his climbing spikes that caused him to fall. Newly appointed Deputy Chief Kyran Dunn was on scene and assisted with incident coordination and control. American Medical Response arrived shortly after the fire department. Multiple responders from the Fire Department and AMR were required…

4:55pm--#Milford CT--Firefighters dispatched to I-95 exit 39B /40 for a mulch fire.   There is a lot of smoke in the area, it does not appear to be causing any traffic delays. #Bridgeport Police Investigate Shooting

#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at 1631 Park Avenue after a drug deal gone bad.  Police say a person went to the private residence to purchase marijuana but disputed the price.  The man returned with a gun and the shooting occurred.  The man was shot in the leg and it may be possible the person shot himself.  He was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital with no life threatening injuries.   This report sponsored by: La policía está investigando un tiroteo que se produjo en 1631 Park Avenue después de un negocio de drogas que salió mal. Fairfield News: Black Rock Turnpike Closed Due To Serious Crash

3:13am--#cttraffic--#Fairfield CT--Route 58 Black Rock Turnpike is closed until further notice as police investigate a very serious accident between Candlewood Road and Burroughs Road.  Police say the car was traveling on Burroughs Road and crashed under the truck owned by A&M Bronx Baking of Mount Vernon New York.  You can see the drive axle has been snapped and entry marks just above that on the box portion of the truck above that axle.  Firefighters told me the driver of the car has been transported to the hospital in a "serious accident".   As with ALL breaking news facts and information can change quickly.  If I get any further information I will let you know.   Ruta 58 Rock Negro Turnpike…
