How about some likes for the first responders in Bridgeport who came to the rescue when a baby wasn’t breathing. The incident took place yesterday at the corner of James and Harral Avenue around 4:30pm. Bridgeport Police Department on patrol came across a panicked mother with her child not breathing. Police officers had to determine if it was quicker to drive the baby to the hospital but the quick work of police dispatch got EMS to the scene. If you listen carefully you can hear the mother crying in despair, so officer had to take control of the scene, calm the mother and help save the baby. I spoke with Bridgeport’s spokesman Tim Hammill and he confirmed the baby is doing just fine. GREAT job by all!! Keep in mind the video was edited for listening but it all took place in about five minutes total.
