1:55pm–#Fairfield CT–Police and Firefighters were called to Jennings Beach for a reported call for help in the water by a witness in the beach parking lot. A short time later police received a call from a witness at St. Mary’s By The Sea stating they heard a call for help and saw a flare in the water. Fairfield fire and police launched their boats and went to the boat that was pointed out to them by witnesses. After a short period of time the boat returned to the marina under its own power. Police continue interviewing the boater when I filed this report.
