6:00am–#Fairfield CT– Police are investigating that left a man dead after he lunged at police during a domestic violence incident on Mountain Laurel Drive.  The man was not immediately identified.   His wife is in critical condition.  Three children, ages 12, 13 and 15 were also taken to hospital, the youngest airlifted to Yale-New Haven Hospital.  The children’s injuries were blunt force trauma and stab wounds.  A baseball bat was involved in the assaults.  The home is registered by town records as owned by Harun and jacinta Keskinkaya.  My daughter a student at Warde High School said counseling is being made available to the students.  She said a classmate was one of the injured but the last name does not match the property owner’s name.  Lieutenant James Perez said there was no previous police incident history at the home.  The officer involved in the history was also taken to the hospital for observation and as Fairfield Police policy.   As protocol the incident is being investigated by the Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Unit and the Stamford State Attorney’s Office.  The State’s Attorney Office investigation must be from a different area Perez said.
