  #Westport CT-- On Thursday, January 28, 2016, Westport Police Officers responded to 385 Post Rd. E. (Wireless Zone) on a report that two males were in the store attempting to open accounts using fraudulent identifications. The complainant advised that once they began to question the authenticity of the identifying documents (out of state driver’s license), the two suspects quickly exited the store. Officers responded to Verizon to begin the investigation, while other Officers began checking the area for the suspects. #Fairfield CT--The What’s Cooking Series at the Fairfield Public Library will feature one of the area’s premier sources for artisanal cheese, Fairfield Cheese Company, on Monday, February 8. Laura Downey, co-owner of the store, will be sharing her story in the Rotary Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road at 7:00 p.m. Laura will guide us through a scrumptious tasting of fresh and bloomy cheeses, washed rind and aged cheese, plus a variety of cow, sheep and goat chest. On 01/21/16 at approximately 11:20pm, Westport Officers were dispatched to a Franklin Street address on a report of a disturbance. Officers located an open door and entered the residence. The victim was located bleeding from the head and the accused, James Olivia, had left the scene. Officers located Olivia at his residence in Norwalk a short time later. Officers determined that Olivia grabbed and struck the victim in the face, then stopped the victim from calling 911. Olivia was arrested and held on a $10,000.00 bond with a court date the next morning.
