MIDDLETOWN, CT. (May 31, 2016): Troopers were busy patrolling the highways and roads in

Connecticut over this 2016 Memorial Day weekend. During this enforcement operation troopers utilized both

traditional and non-traditional patrol cars. The enforcement project started at 12:01 a.m. on 5/26/16 and ran

through 11:59 p.m. on 5/30/16. Troopers targeted aggressive/reckless drivers, distracted drivers, speeders,

seatbelt violations and intoxicated driver to reduce traffic crashes. Sobriety checkpoints and targeted DUI

patrols were also in place over the entire weekend.

These stats cover the time period starting at 12:01a.m. on May 26, 2016 to 11:59p.m. on May 30, 2016:
