Bridgeport Police Press Release: On August 27, 2016 at 1637 hours, a shooting incident occurred in front of 21 Wood Terrace. A male victim identified as Shane Slinksky 3/19/98 sustained two gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Detectives are actively working leads, but at this time we have not yet identified a suspect(s) or definitive motive. Slinksky is a resident of Stamford, Ct and has no apparent ties to Bridgeport. Detectives are investigating why he may have been in the city at the time of his death. No shell casings were found at the scene and witnesses heard the gunshots, but we have not identified anyone who saw the shooting take place. . 4:27pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Two shots rang out just before 4:30 Saturday afternoon and a 19 year old Stamford man is the city’s 6th homicide of the year on Wood Terrace. Chief A.J. Perez said he believes it is a drug deal gone wrong, the man was shot twice in the head and died. The police are contacting the next of kin and it is an on going investigation.
