12:25pm–#Fairfield Connecticut– Firefighters were called to Old Academy Road near Old Mine Road for a man trapped under a farm tractor.  Assistant Fire Chief George Gomola told me the man was attempting to jump start the tractor when the tractor rolled back  on his leg trapping him. Firefighters had to use a combination of equipment they carry on their truck like cribbing, airbags and jack.  The tractor had a grass cutting device on the back and the firefighters had to be extra careful not to allow the tractor to shift so it would not further injure the man.  The man had injuries to his leg, he did not lose consciousness and was able to talk to the first responders.  EMS transported him to the hospital.
