4:37pm–#Fairfield CT– Fairfield Emergency Communications received an activated alarm at 226 Kings Highway East and then began receiving calls from the tenants on the second floor.  Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the roof and additional fire personnel were called to the scene.  There was no fire, just smoke and they are investigating the cause.

Kings Highway East at Villa Avenue was closed to traffic (the road to get to Super Stop and Shop on Villa Avenue) and traffic was backed up significantly on Kings Highway East to North Avenue in Bridgeport.
