On 08-03- 2017 Officers attempted to stop a Honda CRV that failed to stop for a stop sign on Broadbridge Avenue. Officers learned that the vehicle had been stolen from this town on the 28 th of July. The operator of the Honda drove through Bridgeport, Milford and eventually ran out of gas on I95 near exit 27. The driver who is a juvenile was charged for his involvement in the incident. Several items were located in the stolen vehicle linking the juvenile to recent thefts from cars in the Lordship area of town. The court had also issued a remand to custody for the juvenile with a $50,000 dollar court set bond.
The juvenile was charged with the following for the incident:
Larceny 2 nd          Possession of Burglary Tools             Failure to Stop at Stop Sign           Reckless Driving
Engaging Police in Pursuit              Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License
