Bridgeport Trumbull News: Pursuit After Alleged Bank Fraud

5:05pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- #Trumbull Connecticut-- An employee at the TD Bank at 4865 Main Street Bridgeport flagged down a police officer outside the bank which turned out to be a Trumbull Police Officer on a traffic stop.  Someone inside the bank was attempting to commit fraud.  The officer gave chase and the suspect fled into a white BMW with New York plates north on Main Street.  The officer lost sight of him.  Bridgeport Police located him on Route 8/25 southbound in heavy traffic.  They were able to bring the car safely to a stop at the split of I-95 north/southbound.  They have four people in custody.

Fairfield Book Sale

The Friends of the Fairfield Public Library will have a Special Book Sale on Tuesday, November 29 through Monday, December 12. The sale will be held at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road, during regular library hours. All adult fiction and non-fiction will be buy 2 get 1 free. Children’s books and all CDs will also be part of the buy 2 get 1 free sale. Only cash payments will be accepted for purchases made at this sale. Stratford News: Shooting Arrest

#Stratford Connecticut--On the evening of November 14, 2016 Rodney Johnson Junior age 20 was arrested in Stamford for the shooting which occurred in Stratford on Friday, November 11 th . Johnson was arrested at his father’s residence after Stratford Detectives tracked him to the address. The arrest was made with the assistance of Stamford Officers from the Stamford Police Department. During the arrest officers recovered a .380 caliber handgun and an electronic defense weapon. The handgun was reported stolen approximately two years ago in Trumbull. Johnson was charged with the below listed crimes and held on a $500,000 dollar bond for his involvement in the shooting. He will be arraigned today in Bridgeport court and was assigned a court date…

#Westport Connecticut--In July of 2016, the victim of this incident reported she was scammed by the suspect, Bobby Megel, regarding repair work done to her vehicle. Megel solicited the victim to repair dents in her vehicle while she was on the Sherwood Island Connector. Megel convinced the victim to pay him $415.00 for the repair work. Megel made the vehicle appear fixed, but as time went on, he actually did more damage to it. The victim knew the suspects name because she originally wrote him a check addressed to him, but Megel convinced her to pay cash. The victim still had the check in her possession.
