#Fairfield CT– Fairfield Police are looking to identify two Hispanic males involved in a shoplifting of condoms, baby formula, hair care products, and Dove soap from Walgreens on 10/7/15 at approximately 2132 hours. The males filled two carry baskets with items and jumped into a waiting dark colored Jeep with no front plate E/B towards Bridgeport. (Fairfield Police Press Release)
Video Report—#Bridgeport, Conn. (October 7, 2015) –Today, the Bridgeport Police Department is asking the public for information regarding a suspect in an attempted abduction of a juvenile.
On October 5, 2015 at around 7:15 a.m., police officers responded to a call regarding an attempted abduction near the corner of Boston Ave. and Palisade Ave. Arriving on the scene, police officers found the 17-year-old female victim uninjured. The victim was walking to school on Boston Ave. when she was approached by a charcoal gray Toyota Yaris. The Toyota is missing the rear bumper leaving the white styrofoam exposed. The driver of the Toyota lured the victim into her car. Once the victim was in the car, the driver assaulted the victim. The victim bailed out of the Toyota while it was traveling west on Boston Ave. The Toyota then made a u-turn at Dover Street and travelled east on Boston Ave. continuing into Stratford.
The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic female approximately in her 40’s. The suspect had black hair in a ponytail, freckles on her face, and was wearing a black leather jacket at the time. The Boston Ave. area had heavy traffic at the time of the incident and the Bridgeport Police Department is asking for help in identifying the driver and the vehicle. #Darien CT–On August 1st, 2015, the Connecticut State Police – Central District Major Crime Squad (CDMCS), initiated an investigation regarding a shots fired complaint in the town of Darien. An unoccupied vehicle, owned by James Martin, parked in the driveway at his residence sustained numerous gun shots to the exterior of After a 2-month long investigation an arrest warrant was completed and submitted for each of the two suspects. Stamford Superior Court signed both warrants and the suspects voluntarily turned themselves in at State Police Troop I – Bethany where they were processed.
2:10pm–#cttraffic—#Bridgeport CT–#Trumbull CT– Report of a a multi car crash at he split at Route 8/25 at the Trumbull line. Bridgeport firefighters reporting a 3 car crash northbound. Trumbull is sending emergency crews as well but returned as not being needed. Expect delays.

#Fairfield, CT–Quilting may date back as far as ancient Egypt, but it continues to be popular with crafters and collectors. The Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road, will be Talking About Quilts with Susan J. Jerome on Saturday, October 17 at 2:00 pm.
Pieces of fabric can have the power to evoke an emotional response. Using images of antique quilts and quilted objects, Ms. Jerome will discuss some of the definitions and ideas surrounding the word “quilt”. Learn about textile history and how technological changes influenced the projection of quilts during the 19th century. Learn how to properly store textile heirlooms for future generations. Susan J. Jerome is the Collection Manager at the University of Rhode Island Historic Textile and Costume Collection. She earned her MS degree from the URI Department of Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design.
