Unconfirmed Report Says Navin’s Bodies Found In Weston

Weston, CT (October 30, 2015): State Police Detectives from Western District Major Crime (WDMC) are currentlyinvestigating the discovery of possible human remains in Weston.n October 29, 2015 at approximately 3:00 p.m., State Police detectives were requested to assist Weston Police Department with a reported suspicious incident. State Police detectives received information that possible human remains were located at 89 Norfield Rd. Weston.
 
State Police detectives arrived on scene and recovered the remains. State Police detectives initiated a search of the area, and are still on scene conducting a thorough search. State Police K9 teams are also assisting in the search and investigation.
 
The remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) where they will determine whether the remains are human or animal, and cause and manner of death if applicable. If the remains prove to be human, the OCME will also determine identity. This is an active, ongoing investigation.

#Weston CT-  I have an UNCONFIRMED report from a highly reliable source that the bodies of Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin have been found in Weston. State Police confirmed they were searching on Norfield Road earlier today..  Jeffrey Navin, 56, is president of J&J Refuse, and his wife Jeanette Navin, 55 is a Weston Intermediate School library paraprofessional.  They have been missing since August 4th.  No word on any suspects at this time.

Fairfield News: Commerce Drive Closed

4:39pm–#Fairfield CT– Commerce Drive in front of the Audi dealer is closed to traffic due to a large leak of hydraulic fluid.  It appears the truck delivering cars leaked the fluid as police were checking his paperwork out at the scene.  Firefighters on scene requested 20 more bags of speedy dry to the scene.  If you need get to the post office access it from the Bridgeport side.

Bridgeport News: Woman Charged With A Gun & Other Charges

Bridgeport, Conn. (October 26, 2015 Press Release) – Te Bridgeport Police Department reported the arrest of a woman — Shontaizjah Fleming (01/12/92) — on several charges related to criminal possession of a firearm and marijuana.  More specifically, Fleming was charged with: possession of carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a firearm, theft of a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, and possession of marijuana.  Bond has been set at $20,000.

 

Police officers also consider Fleming a person of interest while investigating a non-fatal shooting that took place on Sunday, October 25, 2015.  Background: On October 25, 2015 at around 2:35 a.m., a nearby police officer on patrol heard several shots fired on Stratford Ave. near the corner of Hollister Ave. The police officer, along with other arriving support officers, discovered a spent shell casing and established a perimeter. Police officers interviewed several witnesses who reported seeing two groups, all wearing black hooded sweatshirts, arguing with each other from opposite sides of Stratford Ave. prior to the shooting incident. Witnesses also provided a description of a vehicle involved in the incident. Police officers located a vehicle that matched the description provided by witnesses on Dover St. near Stewart St. Upon arrival on scene, police officers found a black female, Shontaizjah Fleming sitting inside a black Toyota Scion, reaching into the driver side area between the seats. Police officers ordered Fleming, and three suspects standing outside the vehicle, to move to a nearby fence and place their hands on the top rail.  Police officers asked if there was anything in the vehicle. One suspect responded, “no,” and gave the keys to the vehicle to a police officer, as well as permission to search the vehicle. Officers discovered a firearm in plain view resting inside the driver side floor of the vehicle. In addition, a 2001 Buick Century was discovered nearby with blood on the rear passenger side, a broken window, and several bullet holes throughout the vehicle. Fleming was searched by police officers who found 29.5 grams of marijuana on her person. Fleming was taken into custody and charged.

 

Police officers also responded to Bridgeport Hospital where a 20-year-old male victim — suffering from two non-life threatening bullet wounds to the right arm — who stated that he was shot by an unknown party while standing in front of the a Chicken and Waffle restaurant on Stratford Ave. near the corner of Hollister Ave.

Trumbull News: Kennedy Center Gas Leak

11:40am–#Trumbull CT– The Kennedy Center at 2440 Reservoir Avenue has been evacuated due to an odor of gas indoors and detected by firefighters according to radio reports.  The gas company has been called to the scene and firefighters are turning off the main shutoff in front of the building.  Firefighters will conduct a search of the building to make sure everyone has evacuated the building.
