10:49pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut–Firefighters were called to the area of Vazzy’s on Broadbridge Avenue/Hooker Road area for a structure fire. Turned out to be rubbish in a barrel burning, no structure fire. But now you know what all the noise was about!

The Jimmy’s Original Hip Hop is closing it’s doors. Located next door to Burger King on Upper Main Street, the man at the counter told me they are closing their doors at the end of the month. I didn’t realize the end of the month is today, the store was still full of clothes so I’m guessing he meant the end of May. He said this isn’t a going out business sale that a lot of businesses frequently have but a store closing.
#Trumbull Connecticut–The Trumbull Police Department and Westfield Trumbull hosted the Annual Public Safety Day Saturday. Highlights of Public Safety Day include: a helicopter landing demonstration Connecticut State Police crash rollover simulator; police cars, ambulances, fire trucks; and a variety of emergency equipment on display for families to
enjoy. This was Trumbull Police Cadet Captain Ian Maloney’s Eagle Scout Project in 2014 which continues to present first responder’s and their equipment to the public in a family fun atmosphere.

10:02pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A man and his girlfriend were robbed by five males at the corner of Fairfield Avenue and Norman Street. No weapon was shown but one threatened to shoot them.

8:33pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A 7 year old is at Bridgeport Hospital with her mother. The East Side girl was sexually was sexually assaulted by someone know to the family. Please pray for her and her family.
