Bridgeport News: Crash!

10:26pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A family in the red car was just returning from vacation when they were hit by a Mercedes at the intersection of South Frontage and Myrtle Avenue. The Mercedes continued a block to South Avenue before coming to a stop. Radio reports said the liscence plates came back to a differnt car on the Mercedes. Police are investigating. A woman was injured in the red car.

Bridgeport News: Bridgeport Hospital On Lock Down Due To Threats

11:41pm–UPDATE: Police radio says the hospital is no longer on lock down. No further updates.

10:35pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Bridgeport Hospital is on lock down after a patient that was discharged threatened security and staff.

Norwalk News: Car Stolen With 5 Year Old Child Inside

10:10pm–#Norwalk Connecticut– A 2012 Nissan with New Jersey Plates Z77ZJF was taken from Post Diner at 321 Connecticut Avenue with a five year old and a woman inside.  Just as I was hitting the publish button on this report the car with all the occupants were located.  Some scary moments and good police work for sure!

Fairfield News: Stabbing In Fairfield

5:21pm–#Fairfield Connecticut– Police are investigating a stabbing at 88 Vermont Avenue.  Early reports say a woman stabbed her boyfriend after she stabbed herself when he attempted to take the knife/object from her.  She has minor injuries according to police.  Police said the do not know at this early time in the investigation if she will be charged.

 

Westport News: Drowning At Sherwood Island State Park

UPDATE: Police Chief Foti Koskinas said two were rescued and it was uncertain if there was a third swimmer but the dive team continues to search the waters.

 

5:20pm–#Westport Connecticut– There is a report of a possible drowning at Sherwood Island State Park.  One person has been rescued, breathing and unconscious at the hospital.   The second person has not been located.   The dive team and mutual aid from surround towns  has been dispatched.
