Fairfield Selects Out of State Company To Produce Fairfield Videos

First Selectman Michael C. Tetreau announced today that the Town of Fairfield is renewing its partnership with a New York-based company to produce a series of community videos to be hosted on the Town’s official website (www.fairfieldct.org). Through this initiative, CGI Communications will develop up to ten promotional videos that will highlight the many elements that make Fairfield such an attractive community to live, work and play.

Fairfield had previously worked with CGI on a similar project in 2010. The latest program will feature chapters on economic development, real estate, recreation & leisure, education, shopping & dining, arts & culture, history & attractions and senior living. Each video will be roughly one to two minutes in duration. There is no cost to the Town of Fairfield, as the cost of the program will be entirely defrayed through corporate sponsorships and advertising revenue.

“We are very excited to be working with CGI again on telling prospective residents and business alike on what makes Fairfield such a special place,” commented First Selectman Tetreau. “We are also pleased to provide an opportunity to partner with local businesses to increase their on-line presence and provide greater exposure,” he added.

Community groups and local businesses will have the chance to take part in this program with their own video which will highlight their particular business or group or simply to sponsor the video. By sponsoring a video segment, businesses not only get a change to promote their business but partner with the Town of Fairfield in highlighting all that is great about Fairfield. Representatives of CGI Communications, who will be clearly identified with a letter of introduction, will be calling on Fairfield businesses to give them the opportunity to participate in this new and exciting project that highlights the community we all know and love.

CGI Communications, headquartered in Rochester NY, is a leader in digital marketing solutions, and has produced well over 20,000 videos for municipalities, chambers of commerce and county governments nationwide.

For questions about the program or to inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Office of Community & Economic Development at (203) 256-3120.
