10:33pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A police detective responded to a domestic fight on Jones Avenue. As a woman was screaming at the scene, the officer was approached by two men who allegedly came at him, one with a knife. The detective was able to apprehend both men single handily as back up arrived. One of the suspects required medical attention, the other was taken into custody.

9:55pm–#cttraffic–#Stratford Connecticut– A pursuit that started in Milford ended in a crash near exit 31. A Straford Police Officer is trapped in her car with blunt trauma and firefighters have just arrived on scene. The suspect is in custody according to radio reports.

Bridgeport Police Press Release: On August 27, 2016 at 1637 hours, a shooting incident occurred in front of 21 Wood Terrace. A male victim identified as Shane Slinksky 3/19/98 sustained two gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Detectives are actively working leads, but at this time we have not yet identified a suspect(s) or definitive motive. Slinksky is a resident of Stamford, Ct and has no apparent ties to Bridgeport. Detectives are investigating why he may have been in the city at the time of his death. No shell casings were found at the scene and witnesses heard the gunshots, but we have not identified anyone who saw the shooting take place. . 8:02pm–#Fairfield News: A car with an overdosing person pulled in to the parking lot at Trinity Baptist Church on North Benson Road. First responders on scene administering CPR and Narcan. These calls happen A LOT but if I were to report them would pretty much reveal the person’s address.
7:33pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A woman was just robbed of her pocketbook as she was getting into her car at the Save-A-Lot at 540 Pequonnock Street. Police are looking for a tall white male, heavy set wearing a striped shirt and blue jeans.

4:28pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Firefighters were called to 1602 Park Avenue where rubbish on the 3rd floor caught fire. One hand line was used to put out the blaze. The fire marshal was called in to investigate. There was some damage to the first floor apartment possibly water damage.

4:24pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A taxi must have confused the gas for the brake as it was about to enter the car wash at the Gulf Station’s Park City Hand Car Wash at 1267 Fairfield Avenue. The taxi hit the empty Nissan waiting for a wash catapulting it across Fairfield Avenue. Everyone was amazed the launched unmanned car did not hit anyone or any cars crossing the road. There were no reported injuries.
