Downed Trees And Wires
There are a LOT of calls for individual trees, branches and power lines down. I’ll try to keep up with MAJOR road closures or major power outages. You can post your individual situations here. If you have pictures that also would be great. Just make sure you tell us where it is.
Tractor Trailer Ban
HARTFORD, CT – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that as winter weather conditions continue to deteriorate this evening, he has signed an order banning travel of all tractor trailers and tandem trailers on limited access highways until further notice to assist neighboring state New York manage traffic on its worsening highway conditions.
New York instituted a similar tractor trailer ban on highways earlier today. Drivers are advised to stay tuned for further updates as the storm is anticipated to wind down late tonight and into the morning.
“As roads continue to deteriorate and out of an abundance of caution, we are putting a tractor trailer ban in effect until further notice,” Governor Malloy said. “There are substantial concerns about driver safety and we need to keep the roads as clear as possible. Again, we are advising that folks stay home unless absolutely critical tonight.”

Stratford News: Missing Person-Silver Alert
#Stratford CT–The Stratford Police Department is attempting to locate Anthony Capuano age 79. Capuano was last seen on March 6 th at approximately 6pm. He was driving a 2007 Chrysler 300 color blue. The license plate on the car is YW9001. Capuano is described as a white male, 5’7” tall with brown eyes and white hair. Capuano suffers from dementia and other medical issues. Anyone with information is asked to please contact the Stratford Police at 203-385- 4100.

12:50pm–#Milford CT– #cttraffic— A gasoline tractor trailer has a brake fire at exit 40. Woodmont Road is closed. The tanker is fully loaded and the driver has run away from the truck. Firefighters on the way.

11:11am–#Bridgeport CT– A man allegedly intoxicated was caught shoplifting at the CVS at 2610 East Main Street faked a heart attack to get out of the situation. EMS and firefighters were dispatched. When the police were called the man fled the scene.
