Stratford News: Pedestrian Struck

Police UPDATE: On 11/11/2022 at approximately 8:24 pm, Stratford Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a car on West Broad Street near California Street.  Upon arrival, officers found that a 48-year-old New York man was struck by a vehicle.  The striking vehicle and operator remained at the scene.  The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries where he radians in stable condition.   Investigators are working on the investigation, and no charges have been filed as of yet.  The roadway was closed for the initial investigation and is now open. BRIDGEPORT POLICE ISSUE ANOTHER ADVISORY ON FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE AND OFFER UP ROBBERIES

The Bridgeport Police Department is advising the public it continues to respond to numerous victims robbed at gunpoint when buying a vehicle posted on internet sites like Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp.  The victims have been from Bridgeport, surrounding municipalities and surrounding states.
