State Police UPDATE:
On Thursday, January 27, 2022, the State Police began investigating a double fatal motor vehicle crash, reported on the Route 8 northbound on-ramp from Old Stratford Road (Exit 12) in Shelton. The involved vehicle was identified as a 2002 Honda Accord.
The vehicle occupants have been identified as:
Jose Rosario, DOB 07/13/1989, of 59 Price Street, Bridgeport, CT
Raul Calderon, DOB 04/15/1988, of 69 Harrison Road, North Branford, CT

2022-010-27-@11:38am– #Shelton CT–#cttraffic– Emergency personnel received a call from a passerby that there was a car down the Route 8 northbound 12 on ramp with two people inside unresponsive. On radio speculation say it may have happened overnight and was just discovered by the passerby. The 12 on-ramp is closed for the investigation.

Bridgeport Police UPDATE:
On January 2, 2022 at approximately 10:03 pm, Bridgeport Police responded to 100 Marcel Street on the report of a party shot. Emergency personnel located a victim lying in the front yard at that location and quickly transported him to Saint Vincent’s Hospital where he later died.
The B.P.D. Detective Bureau has taken charge of the investigation and has since processed the crime scene on Marcel Street. Detectives are working several strong leads at this time.
The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Andre Brown of Bridgeport Connecticut. The Bridgeport Police Department would like to offer its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Brown.

2022-01-03@10:04pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police are investigating the city’s first homicide of 2022 at the end of Marcel Street (off upper Main Street). A family member told me that a woman fatally shot another woman. Radio reports said she fled in a gray Mercedes. The suspect is known to police. This is breaking news and details will likely change as police continue their investigation.
The Stratford Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Light
Street near Barnum Avenue at approximately 1am on this date. During the incident two
individuals were shot by an unknown assailant.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A female victim was transported to a local
hospital and is being treated for wounds received during the assault. At this time no names are
being released until next of kin can be notified.
The scene is active and Barnum Avenue will be closed to traffic between Bruce Avenue and
Boston Avenue until approximately noon. Use Boston Avenue as an alternate route.
There is no further information being released at this time.

BRIDGEPORT—On Thursday December 16, 2021 at 2116 hours, the Bridgeport Emergency
Communications Center received a call of a party shot in Sammy’s Grocery & Dollar Store at 500 Park
Avenue. When Bridgeport Police officers arrived, they found the victim, Clinton Taylor (DOB: 6/25/98 of
273 West Ave, Apt 211), deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Within minutes, Officer Cavaliere
located a suspect about a block away. After a foot pursuit, and with the assistance of other patrol
officers, the suspect was taken into custody. A handgun, believed to be the weapon used to kill Taylor,
was recovered nearby.
The suspect refused to give his name or any personal information, stating only that he is “Lucifer”. While
fleeing, he broke his leg and was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment.
Security video from the store captured the shooting and shows the suspect robbing the victim of money
after he was shot.
Once released from the hospital, the suspect will be brought to Bridgeport Police Headquarters and
charged with Murder, Felony Murder, and Robbery in the First Degree.
Great job by all the officers involved.
Bridgeport Police UPDATE: Bridgeport Police UPDATE: At 2116hrs the Bridgeport ECC received a call on a preliminary report of a party shot inside a store in the 500th block of Park Ave, BPD and AMR arrived on-scene to discover a male party with gunshot wounds. During the investigation BPD pursued a male party that was taken into custody with one firearm recovered. The victim had succumb to his injuries. This is still an active investigation, anyone with information is asked to contact the Bridgeport PD at 203-576-TIPS.

Police UPDATE: This afternoon, detectives exhumed the body of a man believed to be Aryndel Castro. The body was buried under five feet of earth in a crawl space under the detached garage of a single-family home located at 1803 Noble Avenue. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy tomorrow and attempt to confirm the identity of the man.
The body of a missing 24 year old who disappeared back 2013 was discovered in a home at 1803 Noble Avenue. Yesterday afternoon, Shawn Gibson 24, of Lakeview Ave, Hamden, CT was arrested in connection to the 2013 disappearance of 24-year-old Aryndel Castro. Gibson is accused of murdering Castro with the assistance of Terrance Boyd,55, of Columbia, South Carolina who was arrested yesterday morning in Columbia, South Carolina.
Castro was reported missing in September of 2013. The following spring, members of the Bridgeport Police Homicide Unit got involved in the case, investigating it as a possible homicide.
The evidence also suggests that the two men then engaged in an elaborate clean-up effort, purchasing cleaning supplies on multiple occasions at The Home Depot and renting vans twice, once from The Home Depot, and the other from U-Haul. They reportedly used these vans to move Castro’s body more than once in the days following the murder.
During a post-arrest interview, Gibson acknowledge disposing of the body and agreed to cooperate with detectives to recover Castro’s remains.
Gibson is charged with Murder and is being held on a $250,000 bond. Once the extradition process is complete, Boyd will be brought to Connecticut and will also be charged with Murder.
2021-12-08@9:09pm–#Bridgeport CT– #ctfire–Firefighters were called to a fire in the 600 block of Hallett Street. The call immediately went to two alarms with reports of close exposure to surround buildings and reports of people jumping from the building. Two people were found lying on the ground outside the building with injuries consistent with a fall. A third person was also injured, possibly a fatality but this has not been confirmed. The state fire marshal is on scene investigating.
Police UPDATE: BRIDGEPORT- On Monday December 6, 2021 at 2008hrs Bridgeport Police were patrolling the area of Park Avenue and Olive Street when they came upon a multiple vehicle MVA with one of the vehicles into a structure in the 1300th block of Park Ave. Officers immediately rendered aid to the operators of the vehicle as BFD and AMR were enroute to the scene. Both operators were transported to the hospital by AMR for their various non-life threatening injuries. After interviewing both operators, witnesses and reviewing video surveillance in the area, BPD has charged Brian Jones of Bridgeport with CGS 14-301 Failure to obey stop sign; CGS 14-245 Failure to grant right of way at an intersection; CGS 14-12(a) Operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
2021-12-06@8:08pm–#Bridgeport CT– Two people were injured and transported to the hospital after a two car crash in the 1300 block of Park Avenue at the corner of Olive Street that sent one of the vehicles into a home.
Police UPDATE: Early this morning Miguel Rojas (DOB: 4/16/93 of Hallett St) surrendered to police to face charges in connection to Friday night’s homicide of Jalen Parilla. Rojas is charged with Murder, Use of a Firearm in an A,B,C Felony, Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit, and Risk of Injury to a Child. His bond was set at $1,000,000. He will be arraigned this morning in court.
#Bridgeport CT–Last night, at 9:20 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired at West Avenue and West Liberty Street. When they arrived, they found the victim, Jalen Parilla (DOB: 9/5/84 of Jesse Avenue, Stratford), who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Parilla was taken to Saint Vincent’s Hospital where he died a short time later.
According to witnesses, Parilla was shot by Miguel Rojas (DOB: 4/16/1993 of Hallett Street, Bridgeport). Rojas has two children with Parilla’s girlfriend and is accused of stalking her and Parilla. Detectives are presently searching for Rojas. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should immediately contact Bridgeport Police at 203-576-TIPS. He was last seen driving a 2018 Honda Accord, bearing Connecticut registration AR78215.
Fairfield Police UPDATE:
On November 22, 2021 at approximately 6:34 PM the Fairfield Police Department received several calls
reporting the theft of an occupied vehicle which had just occurred in front of 16 Handles at 1300 Post
Road in Fairfield.
The initial investigation has revealed that a couple had parked their vehicle in the area of 1300 Post Road
and had left the vehicle to make a purchase at a nearby establishment. The vehicle was running and
occupied by a teenage juvenile. An unknown male subject walked up to the vehicle, opened the door and
entered the vehicle. The juvenile then instinctually began to exit the vehicle as the male ordered the
juvenile out of the vehicle. The male then fled the area in the now stolen vehicle at a high rate of speed.
Witnesses reported seeing a black vehicle flee the area in close proximity to the stolen vehicle. It is
believed this vehicle was occupied by subjects working in connection with the male suspect. The
accomplice vehicle is believed to be a black Dodge Charger.
Fairfield Detectives, operating an unmarked vehicle, located the stolen vehicle being driven in the area of
Wordin Avenue in Bridgeport. Detectives followed the vehicle onto I95 and then onto Route 8 where it
exited via Exit 18. Police briefly lost sight of the suspect vehicle but it was later located unoccupied on
Caroline Street in Derby, CT.
No injuries were reported during this incident. In addition, the juvenile occupant, according to CT State
Statute, was old enough to be left unattended in the vehicle.
This is an active and ongoing investigation by the Fairfield Police Department in conjunction with the
Regional Auto Theft Task Force.
The Fairfield Police Department reminds residents to be vigilant of their surroundings and to be mindful
that even when sitting it a parked vehicle, it is safest to keep the vehicle locked.
2021-11-22@6:34pm–#Fairfield CT– A black Mercedes was stolen while parked outside 16 Handles Frozen Yogurt at 1300 Post Road with a child inside the car. The child jumped out of the car and ran inside the shop. Radio reports say the suspect jumped out of a black Ford Mustang to steal the Mercedes. The child is fine. The vehicle headed towards Westport but then got on I-95 to Route 8 north.
