4:18pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--A tow truck operator and the car owner are arguing over sneakers in the trunk of a car. Police were dispatched to Jim's Towing at 1250 Kossuth Street is refusing to the car owner who had their car towed have the five pair of new Jordan sneakers in the trunk according to police radio reports.
2:39pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A street sweeper and school bus with children on board collided on Albion Street. There were no reported injuries but the bus has been delayed by about 40 minutes. #Fairfield Connecticut--The B Fresh Grocery Store at 1262 Post Road will B Gone by the end of the month if not sooner. A sign said they will be closed by April 30th but employees told my wife when she was there today they expect it to be sooner. Many of the shelves are empty and they employees said they don't expect any restocking. B Fresh is owned by Stop and Shop which is located down the road in a more visible location. As they say, Location! Location! Location!
1:16pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--A brush fire got too close to the Seville Apartments at 1148 William Street and scorched the siding up to the second floor before firefighters were able to put out the flames.
11:11pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--Tonight's vehicle fire was at 1086 Iranistan Avenue (near Fairfield Avenue) . Firefighters report a small fire on the passenger's side. This report is made possible by:
10:49pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A gunshot victim just showed up at St. Vincent's Hospital. The person says he was shot on Connecticut Avenue but uncertain of the exact location since he is from New Haven. Police say he is not cooperating. 5:49pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- In a matter of hours police are investigating a second serious crash on the East Side, this time on Seaview Avenue between Deacon and Holly Street. 3 people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Witnesses said the blue car sideswiped two utility poles prior to hitting the red car. It is thought the elderly driver may have had a medical episode. Police said speed was NOT a factor but like they said if both cars were traveling at 30mph and hit head on the impact would be significant.
4:39pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--Bridgeport Police observed a bluish car traveling at a high rate of speed and driving recklessly on Arctic Street near East Main Street. Before the police could attempt pull the car over it hit an SUV flipping it over, the driver was ejected through the windshield and is in very serious condition. The crash happened at Pembroke and Barnum Avenue. Chief Perez said a third car was involved but received minor impact. The police fatal team and the was on scene investigating and the road was closed. At 8pm radio report said the roadway will be opened shortly.
