11:36am–#Trumbull–Homeowner​ at 9 Robinwood Rd the washing machine is smoking. Fire department on scene.

11:25pm–#Norwalk–Pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at Gregory and Marvin/Cemetery (caller wasn’t positive which).

2:42pm–#New Haven–A strong armed robber/car jacking just occurred at 561 Quinnipiac Avenue. 2 black male suspect flee in a green Nissan Xterra with Massachusetts plates # 11FN2.  UPDATE—  Police have the car but the victim cannot identify the  assailants.  No location given on where they are pulled over at.

2:32am–Norwalk–Police at 61 Strawberry Hill Ave for a victim of a gun shot wound to the leg.  Police are collecting shell casing and fire department tending to the victim’s injuries.

 

5:04pm–#Bridgeport–Police to  investigate a babysitter striking a 5 year old at 350 Center Street.  Mother comes home to find the child with red and swelling on the face.  EMTs inspect the rest of the child, does not appear to have been struck anywhere else.

2:30pm–#Bridgeport–Fire department on scene at 720 Pine Point Drive.  The house has high carbon monoxide levels.  When the first arrived they had readings of 151 part per million, it has now risen to 224ppm.  All occupants were safely evacuated.  They are investigating the source.

12:33pm–#Bridgeport–Firefighters EMTs attending to a man down on the basketball courts on Lexington Ave.

12:25pm–#Fairfield–McDonald​ ‘s on Post Road (at the circle) call in two backpacks in the trash can. Turns out to be thrown out by a patron who is eating lunch there. Earlier today Ikea in New Haven was closed and bomb squad called in because a baby playpen was found unattended in the parking lot.

Just before 5:30pm Sunday,  a thirty two foot cabin cruiser got in trouble off Captain’s Cove after hittong a buoy and started taking on water.  Fire department received the call from the Coast Guard, their estimated time of arrival was 45 minutes.   Fire Department’s Ladder Seven, Eleven and Battalion Chief’s vehicle responded with their marine rescue boat.  Bridgeport Police also responded with a marine unit and assisted the boat in pumping the water out of the boat.  The boat in trouble was reported to be a the mouth of the harbor entering Captain’s Cove.   Rescue five was also scene and  departed for a propane grill fire at 258 Horace Street, homeowners threw the tank in their pool when fire department arrived.   By 5:52pm Sea Tow had the boat in tow to Black Rock Harbor.  Special thanks to Doc Wight for the photos and other contributions to this story.
