3:26–#Bridgeport–Report of a child struck and pinned between two cars on Hunitington Road and Beecher Street.  UPDATE–Child reported pinned between cars was erroneously reported to 911, the child was merely scared by the car, no injury!

10:21–#Bridgeport–Report of a Bicyclist struck by car a Barnum and Seaview Avenue.

9:36pm–#Bridgeport–Report of an injured police officer and suspect at 339 Pearl Street. UPDATE9:41pm–#Bridgeport–Injured police officer left the scene prior to EMS arrival at 339 Pearl Street.

8:59pm–#Easton #ctfire– Report of heavy smoke in the basement of 295 Judd Road POSSIBLE structure fire reported on the scanner. Previously reported in Trumbull, still getting use to the multi town scanner feed for the area. Smoke was from a dehumidifier, no fire.

6:18pm–#Fairfield–12 year old boy walks into car moving at about 10mph on Grasmere Avenue near Fairfield Ave. He falls on behind and has slight lower back pain otherwise child is fine Father refuses medical treatment.

6:00pm–#Bridgeport–#ctfire–Car fire close to the building at 282 Mountain Grove Ave. was quickly extinguished by fire department. A second call went out that the fire extended into building but after further investigation found it did not and recall was quickly sounded.

5:44pm–#Bridgeport–Commercial vacuum truck stuck at Fairfield Avenue and Albion partially blocking traffic. Write your own headlines here:

5:41pm–#Norwalk–Report of motor vehicle accident at Glover and Main Ave between a car and city bus. Reports are the damage appears minor but I’m sure the delays aren’t.

5:03pm–#Ansonia #ctfire –Report of a stove fire at 22 Lester Street on the first floor. Fire deparment on the way.

Must be the day for drills. Norwalk conducts a Hazmat drill and Bridgeport is now conducting a mock man down drill.

2:30pm–#Fairfield–If you are driving in town watch the heavy set woman alleged drunk lady walking on Commerce Drive.

2:08pm–#Bridgeport #ctfire Fire department on the scene at 568 Nobel Avenue, light smoke showing from the 2nd floor, fire knocked down at 2:18pm. Cause was a cigarette.

1:35pm–#Fairfield Northbound train stopped as child with seizure is removed for care. Expect a northbound train delays.

School bus hits tree branch in Westport, several students injured

“Several children on a Weston school bus suffered minor injuries Monday morning after their bus struck a low-hanging tree branch on Lyons Plains Road in Westport, causing three windows to shatter and propelling debris throughout the passenger compartment.”    Read full story…..

Serious One Car Crash on Park Ave.

SUV appeared to hit the tree and spin around

Fairfield and Bridgeport police and firefighters worked together to extricate a man from his SUV shortly before 2am. The call originally came in from Fairfield as 3055 Park Avenue in Fairfield. It appeared the SUV was traveling north on Park Avenue (Bridgeport’s side) when it struck a tree and spun in the opposite direction. Firefighters from both towns work feverishly for over 15 minutes to free him. Extent of the man’s injuries are not know at this time.

Senator: Will the government work together? Jobs and other things

I  asked Senator Blumenthal his thoughts on Senator Harry Reid and the Senate blocked a bill d that would have replenished the disaster fund accounts through Nov. 18.  I asked about if bipartisan cooperation was possible, jobs and President Obama’s request for another jobs bill. 9:26pm–#Bridgeport–Report of a man down and not responsive at the corner of Lafayette and Fairfield Avenue.

5:58pm–#Bridgeport–Stove fire on Ortega Avenue.  Woman burnt her hand on grease as well.  Fire department and EMTs on the way.

5:49pm–#Fairfield–Avoid ordering pasta at Cinch Restaurant on Mill Plain Road for the next couple of days.  A male employee has his hand stuck in the pasta making machine.  Fire and EMTs on the way.

10:44am–#Fairfield–Miller Nissan on 930 Kings Hwy East reported to police that several catalytic converts were stolen from vehicles overnight.  These converters contain platinum which is valued at over $2,000 an ounce.
