Home Invasion on Reef Road in Fairfield
A home invasion just occurred at 1039 Reef Road. Two white males both dressed in black robbed wielding a knife a tied up the home owner and the man man assaulted robbed They escaped to out the back door. An ambulance has been called to the scene. Police are looking for two white males one was 5′-7″ the other was about 6’2″. This is breaking news as it happening and information can quickly change. A man hunt in the area is taking place. We are on our way to the scene.
West Haven Armed Robbery Spree
A liquor store off exit 42 of Interstate I-95 was robbed at gun point. Police are looking for two hispanic males in a dark colored mini van CT plates 20HM05. Unknown amount of cash was taken, a handgun was displayed. It is reported the suspects have tried to rob other liquor store in the Hamden and New Haven area in the last 90 minutes
Rod Blagojevich Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison
CHICAGO (CBS) – Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich has been sentenced to 14 years in prison. U.S. District Judge James Zagel handed down the sentence on Wednesday, shortly after Blagojevich made a plea for leniency, following his conviction on 18 corruption counts. Read full story…..
Police investigate deadly hit and run in Bridgeport
As we reported live as it happened a pedestrian was struck by a hit and run driver at the corner of Fairfield Avenue and State Street around 7pm Tuesday night, the victim died of their injuries. Police have no released the identity of the the victim.
On Wednesday from 5 until about 8 p.m., officers will be canvassing drivers in the area of State and Fairfield to ask if they might have any information related to the accident. Officers are also reviewing any available surveillance camera footage from area businesses for any information.
If a member of the public has information regarding the accident, they are urged to call the Traffic Division at 203.576.7640.
Milford nightclub Daniel Street sold, will be brick oven pizzeria
MILFORD — Stonebridge Restaurant owner Richard Conine confirmed Monday he has reached an agreement to sell his neighboring nightclub, Daniel Street, and a source said it will be turned into a brick oven pizza place. Read more….

UPDATE–Police have identified the victim in Tuesday evening’s hit and run accident at the corner of State Street and Fairfield Avenue. The victim’s name is Gerald Hilaire, 60, of Bridgeport.#Bridgeport–When the fire department was responding to Brewster Street they told the other fire trucks to avoid Fairfield and State Street for a police investigation. That is where a pedestrian was struck earlier. May not be a good sign, I know the victim was in cardiac arrest after being hit.UPDATE–Police confirm victim was killed by a hit and run driver.
