March Madness To Benefit Cardinal Shehan Center

This year, the Cardinal Shehan Center will be changing things up for our 8th Annual March Madness Event! In years past, the March Madness event has always been a viewing of the NCAA Men’s National Championship Game. Instead, we have decided to kick March Madness off with a viewing of multiple games on the first day of the tournament!

The Cardinal Shehan Center would love to be the ones to help you kick of this year’s tournament! The event will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 5:30 PM at the H. Smith Richardson Country Club in Fairfield, CT. There will be six televisions available for viewing any one of your favorite teams who have made it to the big dance, as well as drink specials and appetizers throughout the duration of the evening.

At 2:30 the school bells ring and 20,000 Bridgeport children are done with school for the day. For working parents this presents a big problem, and for single parents an even bigger one. Without after school care and supervision, these children are either home alone or potentially on the streets. The Cardinal Shehan Center’s After School and Saturday Program provides safe, stimulating and affordable after school and Saturday care. The Program is a unique combination of educational and recreational activities for children.

On behalf of the children that will benefit from your attendance, I thank you for your consideration and support of this year’s March Madness event. There is a registration flyer, which includes further event and contact information, attached to this e-mail. Should you have any questions regarding the event, please contact me at (203) 336-4468 or by e-mail at tjo@shehancenter.org.
