6:30pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters were very quick to a fire on the second floor at 25 Fifth Street preventing this from being a more serious fire. The fire marshal was called to investigate the cause. One resident was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries and the Red Cross were called to assist the other adults in housing.
8:42pm–#cttraffic—I-95 southbound is backing up due to I-95 exit 16 being closed due to a shots fired on the highway incident (see our previous post). State Police are saying the traffic on the exit 17 is backing up onto the highway and requesting Westport Police to assist in traffic on that exit. Expect exit 16 to be closed for quite sometime for the investigation, 2 shell casings were found on the ramp.

UPDATE: Police have one person in custody. Police are looking for a Silver Nissan Murano that is still at large from the original incident. Police manhunt with K-9 is still underway.
7:40pm–#cttraffic–Stramford put out a be on the look out to surround towns that they had a shots fired incident. Another report on the radio came from State Police that there was shots fired on I-95 with another car. Norwalk has the person in custody after a short foot pursuit near Penny’s Diner on East Avenue. There may be more people the are looking for sounds like near the train tracks.
5:11pm–#Bridgeport CT– A woman in the 1600 block of Chopsey Hill Road came home to find a broken back patio door broken and she hears water running in the basement, possibly from the pipes being stolen. Police on the way.

11:38pm–#Bridgeport CT—At 11:38pm American Medical Responce dispatched EMS ambulance 713 priority one to the 1600 block of Fairfield Avenue for person that was having chest pains. Priority one is their highest priorty and to use lights and sirens to get to the call.
At11:45pm the EMS crew called back to their dispatch center that they were involved in an accident on the I-95 off ramp of Fairfield Avenue with a silver SUV. Another ambulance was dispatched to the person with chest pains right away. It is not know the condition of the EMS personnel, the driver or passengers of the SUV at this time.

State Police Press Release:
On 12/18/14 approximately 11:20p.m. State Police Troop G received a 911 call from a witness who stated that two people were outside their vehicles on the Route 25/8, southbound Exit5 off-ramp walking towards each other in an aggressive manner. Immediately after this 911
call Troopers received another 911 call from one of the people involved in the altercation. This caller stated that he was actively involved in an altercation with another male and he requested state police response. A scuffle was overheard on the phone and the 911 call was then disconnected. This male caller called State Police 911 back and stated that he had retreated to the corner of Lindley Avenue and Capitol Avenue in Bridgeport, a short distance from the altercation. Bridgeport Police Officers and Troopers arrived at that location and secured him and his vehicle. Troopers also arrived at the scene of the altercation on the off- ramp where a male subject was severely injured. Troopers provided emergency care at this scene and the male subject was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent’s Hospital where shortly after admission he was pronounced dead. The crime scene was secured by Troopers and the State Police Western District Major Crime Squad Detectives responded to the scene to conduct this investigation. State Police Detectives documented the crime scene secured both physical and forensic evidence. Witnesses were interviewed and did provide some detail of this event. The identity of the deceased is BRYANT KELLY DOB; 3/26/88 of Bridgeport. The Office of The Chief States Medical Examiner conducted a post mortem examination of the deceased and determined the cause of death to stab wound. State Police are asking anyone who may have driven pass this scene or observed anything just prior to or during this altercation to contact State Police at 203 696-2500. All calls received will be kept in strict confidence.
Our Original report: Bridgeport CT– There was a hit and run accident on Route 8 that resulted in a stabbing. State Police had the victim at the off ramp of Lindley Street. The suspect with the knife was at Lindley and Salem Street. The victim was stabbed a couple of times according to radio reports. Both Bridgeport and State Police are at both locations investigating.

9:38pm–Bridgeport CT–Police have 4 people detained and a sawed off shotgun recovered after a foot pursuit on Albion to Andover Street. One person was tazed and EMS was dispatched. Police are still sorting out the scene.

Police are looking for two black males, 5’6″ to 5’8″ tall. They were dressed in tuxedos….only kidding what else, black hoodies and the fled north on Center Street.
