10:00pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police pullover a car on Wayne and Fern Street, have one person in custody and a loaded magazine but no firearm recovered. The second suspect fled and attempted to gain entry into a Stoehrs Place residence but did not gain entry. Police have him in custody after a short manhunt. They are still looking for the firearm.
On Friday August 14th, 2015 David Reichard (age 26) turned herself into the Westport Police Department after learning that there was a warrant for his arrest. The arrest warrant for Reichard stems from a bad check complaint received from First County Bank back in May 2015.
From the complaint received it is alleged that Reichard deposited a check for $3960.00 into his bank account which was forged. The investigation by the Westport Police Department Detective Bureau revealed that the victim, Monroe Muffler of Monroe Connecticut had reported its business account compromised months earlier and that the suspect had who is not known to them had forged the check and attempted to receive money from their account.
Arrested was David Reichard (age 26) of Stamford Connecticut Reichard was charged with Larceny 3rd degree C.G.S 53a-124 Forgery 3rd degree C.G.S 53a-140 Reichard posted $5000 bond and was issued a court date of August 24th 2015.

3:00pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police track down a suspect on Vincellette Street after he threatened a homeowner on Norland Street with a gun because their dog was barking.
On Friday August 14th, 2015 Westport Police Officers responded to a complaint at a local residence where it was reported that an employee for a contractor had allegedly shown a juvenile a pornographic video on his cell phone. During the course of the investigation it was learned that the employee had entered a room where both children were playing and had shown the child the pornographic video.
The children (ages 8 and 6) immediately reported the incident to their mother. Prior to our arrival the contractor who had been notified of the incident by the mother, had called all of his employees together and the suspect was identified.
Arrested was Luis Guevara (age 37) of Stamford Connecticut Guevara was charged with Risk of Injury to a Child (2 counts) C.G.S 53-21(1) Disorderly Conduct C.G.S 53a-182(a)(3)(4)(5)
Guevara was unable to post a $30,000.00 cash bond and was issued a court date of August 24th, 2015.
12:55pm–#Westport CT– How about some likes for the 911 call taker in Westport who gave over the phone instruction and helped dislodge an item from a choking patient on Turkey Hill South! I’m told they are all emergency medical dispatchers. Great job!
1:00pm–#Bridgeport CT #Shelton CT–Two car fires at the same time in two towns. One in Bridgeport at Central and Boston Avenue and the second in Shelton at Buttercup and Lady Slipper Lane.

Bridgeport Police responded to a shooting early this morning in Bridgeport, Conn. At approximately 12:21 a.m. on August 17, 2015 Bridgeport Hospital reported a gunshot victim. The victim reported that he was shot in the area of William Street and Barnum Avenue. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the face and neck. The victim was later transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital in critical condition.
Multiple units are searching for the responsible parties, and anyone with information regarding this incident should contact the Bridgeport Detective Bureau at (203) 581-5201.
12:07am–UPDATE: A second shooting victim, possibly related to the the shots fired on Newfield Avenue shows up at Bridgeport Hospital. But a police officer was already there in an unrelated call scares them off and the victim with visible blood on his face or chest flees the scene. Police did get the plate number which comes back to Newfield Avenue.
11:33pm–UPDATE: Police establish a crime scene with multiple shell casings found at the corner house at Stratford and Newfield Avenue after additional shots fired in the area.
10:50pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police are investigating a possible crime scene near East End Kitchen on Stratford Avenue. Radio reports say the victim was driven to Bridgeport Hospital and that the victim is in serious condition. So far no crime scene has been established. This area has had two previous shootings last week. The shooting apparently happened at William and Barnum Avenue .
