5:09pm–#Bridgeport CT–Two car crash required firefighters to free the driver of the white pickup truck in a two vehcile crash at State and West Avenue. A light pole was also knocked down. State Street is closed at Park Avenue until the area is cleaned up.
Stratford News: Armed Robbery
5:11pm–#Stratford CT– An armed robbery at 1301 Stratford Avenue which Google lists as First Baptist Church of Stratford. Two males in ski masked displayed a firearm and the fled in a silver car with Florida plates.

Westport News: Domestic Disturbance Arrests
#Westport CT–At approximately 4:32am on December 12th, 2015, Westport Officers responded to a reported physical domestic disturbance at a local residence. The female party threw a drink in the face of the male, then the male put the female in a headlock. Arrested was Marie Jane Fink (age 30) of Westport Connecticut, and Joshua Warren (age 40) also of Westport Connecticut. Both were charged with Disorderly Conduct, 53a-182(a)(1)

Connecticut State Police Graduation
December 17, 2015 – The Connecticut State Police today graduated 58 new State Troopers, all members of the 125th Training Troop.
Colonel Brian Meraviglia, Commander of the State Police, congratulated the graduating class during a ceremony at Jorgensen Auditorium at the University of Connecticut. Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman addressed The 125th training troop entered the Connecticut State Police Training Academy on June 15, 2015, and spent approximately 1,400 hours in the classroom. They spent many more hours training in physical conditioning, water rescue, driving and other specialized areas of police work.
The 58 members of this class began the process of becoming State Troopers more than a year ago. At that time, they applied for the positions, took the written test and the physical fitness assessment, along with observational and polygraph tests.
12 have military experience
10 have prior law enforcement experience
31 have bachelor degrees
Members of the 125th Training Troop have diverse backgrounds, training and experience. Some have previously served as a state’s attorney, registered nurse, counselor, paramedic and corrections officer, among many other professions. The youngest member of the class is 21 and the oldest is 45.

9:33pm–#cttraffic–#Trumbull CT– Two separate crashes one northbound a car hit a utility pole after being cut off according to radio reports and a second crash southbound a rollover crash.

Bridgeport News: Man Shot
5:55pm–#Bridgeport CT– A man has been shot in the 200 block of Willow Street (between Barnum and Boston Avenue). The victim was conscious and talking. He either didn’t know the victim or isn’t saying. Police are investigating.
