10:27pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police were called for a large group of teens on Benham Avenue. A short time later an officer called for ambulance for a person stabbed around the corner in front of 138 Olive Street. A total of 3 ambulances were dispatched to the scene. Another person was reported unconscious.
8:39pm–#Fairfield CT– A carton of cigarettes were taken from Premier Discount Wines on Tunxis Hill by a man in a Crown Vic type car with out of state plates according to radio reports.

8:29pm–#MTA–#Southport CT–#Fairfield CT– There is a heavier than normal police presence after passer bys called police and MTA about a woman laying on or near the tracks. Trains have NOT been stopped nor delayed.

The City of Bridgeport will begin collecting Christmas trees on Monday, January 11, 2016 and continues through Monday, January 18, 2013.
All trees must be placed at curbside and free of all ornaments and plastic bags. Trees that are in plastic bags or have ornaments on them will not be collected.
Trees may also be brought to the City of Bridgeport’s Transfer Station located at 475 Asylum Street, but must be free of all ornaments and plastic bags before disposal.

The Norwalk Department of Police Service Detective Bureau is actively investigating a shooting that occurred on January 8, 2015 at 7:02 pm on Sheridan Street at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue. A male gunshot victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Norwalk Hospital. The shooting appears to be an isolated incident arising from a disturbance in the roadway.

UPDATE: Bridgeport has the highway shutdown at exit 29
10:11pm–#cttraffic–#Fairfield CT– A white Mini Cooper driving in the north in the southbound lane I-95 at exit 25. He hit a Fairfield Police car near exit 24. This all started at exit 17 in Norwalk.
9:22pm–Report of an armed robbery at Stillman and Park Street. Police have located the suspect and have him in custody on Nelson Terrace after a short manhunt.

1:22pm–#Fairfield CT–Firefighters on scene at 1841 Burr Street for possible carbon monoxide symptoms. One person has had headaches for two days. Another family member is just starting to complain of nausea and smells gas.
