Video–Bridgeport’s 2nd Car Fire Destroy’s Garage–Damages 2 Homes
1:55am–#Bridgeport Connecticut–Tonight’s second car fire was at the intersection of Cottage and Norman Street. Witnesses told me the car was intentionally set. The fire destroyed a garage between two multi-family homes as the residents slept. Police on patrol called it in from their radios to the fire department and got the residents out of the home prior to their arrival. There were no reported injuries when I left the scene but I know it would have been a different story if it weren’t for the police’s efforts. Firefighters quickly got the inferno under control and make sure the fire did not extend into the homes.
Tonight’s First Car Fire
12:33pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut–Tonight’s first car fire was in the rear of 595 Shelton Avenue. The fire extended to the boarded up multi-family home but firefighters quickly put it out before to got out of control. There was another car fire that destroyed a garage and extended to the two multi-family homes. I’ll have a report on that shortly.
