The Westport Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire on I 95 north bound between exits 17 and 18. The initial dispatch was for Engine 4, Engine 5 and Car 3. Car 3 arrived and reported one vehicle in the breakdown lane with an engine compartment fire. Crews from Engine 5 and Engine 4 worked quickly to extinguish the fire and provide overhaul. Two lanes of traffic were temporarily closed during firefighting operations. CSP and DOT were on scene and assisted with traffic control. The last Fire Department unit cleared at 2:32 PM
9:55pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A fourteen year girl old was walking home on Gary Street when an unknown person injected her with an unknown substance. The girl is now feeling disoriented, dizzy and having difficulty breathing.

3:55pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A man in his thirties was shot by a teen with a BB gun two days in a row. Yesterday he was shot in the legs, today he was shot in the back and required EMS attention. The shooting took place near the playgound area near Anthony Street. The teen was seen running down Bostwick after shooting the man. Police know the youth and spoke with his mother.

11:55am–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Firefighters were challenged with extricating a woman pinned in an overturn crash in front of 130 Lenox Avenue. The position of the car made the rescue challenging and firefighters had to stabilize the car so as not to trap them. After about fifteen minutes the woman was freed. She appeared to be in serious condition. There was no word on the other driver. Witness said speed was NOT a factor, it was just they way the two cars hit that rolled the car over.

#NorwalkCT – On September 19, 2016, Special Services Investigators conducted a surveillance operation of Ryan Park. Investigators observed Hopeton “Hot Daddy” Marsh conduct a narcotics transaction. Moments later Marsh entered his vehicle and drove from the scene. Investigators initiated a traffic stop and found Marsh to be in possession of (16) bags of heroin. Investigators then located a loaded 9mm pistol with an altered serial number in Marsh’s vehicle. Marsh, who is a six time convicted felon and on parole, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Weapon in a Motor Vehicle, Altering Serial Number, Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit, Possession of Narcotics With Intent to Sell, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell Near a School, Criminal Trespass 3 and Operating with a Suspended License. A $100,000 bond was set on Marsh, who was also remanded to the custody Connecticut Parole.
