Fairfield News: Author To Discuss Book

#Fairfield, CT–Author and former Fairfielder, Martha Hall Kelly will discuss her debut novel, Lilac Girls, at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road, on Thursday, October 20. The author talk will begin at 7:00 pm in the Memorial Room. New York Times Bestseller – “For readers of The Nightingale and Sarah’s Key, inspired by the life of a real World War II heroine, this remarkable debut novel reveals the power of unsung women to change history in their quest for love, freedom and second chances.” A New York socialite working at the French consulate, a Polish teenager and an ambitious young German doctor are set on a collision course at the start of World War II.

Kelly lives in Atlanta, Georgia where she is working on her next novel. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Advanced registration is required due to the limited space. Fairfield News: CVS Robbed

2:06pm–#Fairfield Connecticut– The CVS at 1968 Black Rock Turnpike was robbed.  There are not a lot of details as this is still breaking news.  Radio reports say the suspect is a white male dressed in all black with black scarf and sunglasses.  K-9 is tracking him in the cemetery parallel with Candlewood Road.
