On November 15, 2016 at approximately 2:40am, a motor vehicle stop was conducted on Myrtle Avenue. As the driver, identified as Cavan Devine, was looking for the paperwork (registration/proof of insurance) requested by the Officer a second officer noticed a glass smoking pipe in plain view. The pipe in question is of the type routinely used to smoke illegal narcotics. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, Officers located methamphetamine as well as several syringes (both new and used). As the vehicle was being searched Mr. Devine attempted to run from the scene, but was quickly apprehended.

Mr. Devine was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Interfering with an Officer. He was unable to post the $1000 bond, so Mr. Devine was transported to Norwalk Superior Court on November 16, 2016.
