Trumbull News: Fight Causes Scare At Trumbull Mall

3:40pm–#Trumbull CT– A fight at Macy’s in the Trumbull Westfield Mall at 5065 Main Street sent customers and employees running.  There was a report of four males fighting in the walkway between the jewelry and makeup sending merchandise on the counter crashing to the ground.  Witnesses told me they thought it was gunfire and hid.  One employee called the police for the reports of shots fired and she said she was hiding in a changing room.  Bridgeport Police was also called to the scene for back up for shots fired but once it was determined no shots were fired their services were canceled.  Fairfield Police K-9 was also called but it was determined that there was nothing for them to track off of so they too were canceled.  Multiple witnesses told me that a firearm was displayed which could have fueled the calls of shots fired.  There were no were no reported injuries.

 

 

 

 

 

Fairfield Chamber Evenings Of Wellness

The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce and The Norma Pfriem Breast Center will host its
third lecture in the new 2017-2018 series of eight “Evenings of Wellness” on January 10, 2018.
This lecture topic is: Help Your Child Become a Great Sleeper.

The lecture will be led by, Lynelle M. Schneeberg, PsyD. She is a licensed clinical
psychologist who recently joined the Division of Sleep Medicine at Connecticut Children’s
Medical Center. Dr. Schneeberg graduated summa cum laude with a Doctorate of Psychology
and a specialization in Behavioral Medicine from the University of Denver. As a Diplomat of
the American Board of Sleep Medicine, she is also one of the few clinical psychologists in the
country who is board certified in Sleep Medicine (There are only 200). Dr. Schneeberg is
currently the Director of the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program at Connecticut Children’s
Sleep Center. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the
American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Connecticut Psychological Association and the
Society of Behavioral Medicine.

Attendees will learn about:
 What are some of the causes of childhood insomnia?
 What are some solutions to help your children sleep?
 How do I practically implement these?

Bridgeport Police Statement On Fatal Hit And Run

#Bridgeport CT–The Bridgeport Police Serious Crash Investigation Team responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a car on the 600 block of Sylvan Ave at approximately 8:10pm on Dec 29th.  Nathaniel Dubose, 66, of Bridgeport was walking on Sylvan Ave when he was struck by grey or silver car travelling south on Sylvan Ave.  The driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene.

Mr. Dubose, who sustained severe head trauma, was transported to St Vincent’s Hospital by medics where he died as a result of his injuries.  The investigation is continuing.  Officer John Perry is the lead investigator. It is the 10th traffic death in Bridgeport in 2017.

Bridgeport News: Man Shot

8:40pm–#Bridgeport CT– A person walked into the Shell Gas Station at 4402 Main Street and told the clerk he was shot.  The victim waited a few minutes then got into a black car.  A few minutes later he arrived at St. Vincent’s Hospital to awaiting police.  There was no crime scene at the gas station.  Detectives are investigating.

Bridgeport News: Pedestrian Hit, Very Serious Condition

8:14pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police have Sylvan Avenue between Wilkins Avenue closed down after a man was struck by a car that fled the scene.  Radio reports said he was bleeding from the head and in “very serious condition.  The police accident recreation team will be on scene and the road will be closed for the investigation.
