2020-02-12@11:37pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police are investigating a hit and run accident in the Wendy’s Drive-Thru on Fairfield Avenue. Initial radio reports said a pedestrian was hit but after an extensive search no pedestrian was located.
Police UPDATE: Police UPDDATE: Patrol officers observed an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of Howard Avenue and Railroad Avenue. Gang Task Force became involved and the pursuit ended at 2104hrs just after the stolen vehicle struck the Gang Task Force Vehicle. Five juvenile occupants were all apprehended by a collaborated effort by the Gang Task Force, Patrol Officers, and K-9 Officers. The juveniles were later released to their parents on Juvenile Summons.
2020-02-12@9:00pm–Bridgeport Police say three juveniles were arrested around 9 PM Tuesday at Bostwick Avenue and Pine Street in a stolen car. K-9 officer helped police arrest one of the suspects after a foot pursuit/manhunt near the U-Haul facility.
#Norwalk CT–On January 27, 2020 at around 9:00 am a male entered Kohl’s Department Store on Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk and smashed a display case, he then stole approximately $20,000 in jewelry. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle with New York Plates. This investigation was assumed by the Detective Bureau and is being investigated by Detective Fitzmaurice. Surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this release. Anyone who recognizes the individuals pictured or has information regarding this crime is asked to contact Detective Dan Fitzmaurice. #Bridgeport CT–ConnectiCare recently presented a $9,914.28 donation to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission in collaboration with the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) tax credit program. The donation will support Bridgeport Rescue Missions green roof solution project. The donation offers organizations the opportunity to continue the great work they do in our communities.
The Connecticut NAA program provides tax credits to local businesses that support municipal and tax-exempt organizations. Through this program, ConnectiCare has been able to donate to 36 of its neighboring non-profits.
2020-20-02-11@1:26pm–Firefighters battled an apartment fire at The Stratford at 1873 Stratford Avenue. Everyone made it out safely including a mom with her infant child and a firefighter rescued a chihuahua. The fire was on the third floor and the fire did extend out to the outside deck. There were no reported injuries.
