#Westport CT–On November 14, 2020, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Westport Police officers responded to a local address on a report of a disturbance. The complainant stated she was arguing with Keith Carter. She alleged that during this argument Mr. Carter pushed her to the ground. Mr. Carter had left the area prior to the officers’ arrival and could not be located. Based upon the investigation, a warrant for Mr. Carter’s arrest was completed and signed by a Superior Court Judge. Mr. Carter was taken into custody by Westport officers on July 13, 2021, and per the warrant he was charged with Breach of Peace.
The Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street, announces that the Hudson Shakespeare Company of New Jersey will return to Stratford on Saturday, July 24 at 2 pm for its live, in-person production of the popular comedy “Twelfth Night”. Performed outside in the library’s scenic courtyard, the fully-staged and costumed performance is free and open to the public.
The Hudson Shakespeare Company is back in Stratford (after a break due to the pandemic) with one of the Bard’s most hilarious and thought-provoking romps, “Twelfth Night”. Viola, a young noblewoman, is traveling with her twin brother, Sebastian, where they are involved in a shipwreck and get separated on the mysterious country of Illyria. Viola, thinking Sebastian died in the wreck disguises herself as her brother and lands an assistant’s job with the local governor, Count Orsino. Orsino, an incurable romantic, is infatuated with rich girl, Olivia, who does not return his affection. Olivia has suffered her own recent family tragedy and also has to deal with her constantly drunk uncle, Sir Toby, his awkward friend, Sir Andrew, Maria, an assistant who always has contrary plans and Malvolio, Olivia’s officious manager who is secretly in love with her.
Hudson Shakespeare Company presents this fast-paced comedy of mistaken identities and love quadrangles with live music and only 5 actors playing multiple parts complete with quick changes and a sketch comedy slant. It will be held in the Stratford Library’s scenic courtyard located in the rear of the library building off the Baldwin Center parking lot. Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to spread and to keep socially distant.
2021-07-18@11:05pm–#Fairfield CT– EMS were called to Shrub Oak Lane for an unresponsive person at the residence, possible choking victim. When EMS arrived they found a large party outside who threatened to shoot them according to radio reports. Multiple police units were dispatched now reporting things are relatively peaceful but police units are still arriving with lights and sirens.

#Ansonia CT–On July 16, 2021 at about 1:55 P.M., an Ansonia Police Department patrol officer attempted to stop a silver Audi on North Main Street at Liberty Street. The Audi fled the scene at a high rate of speed travelling north; the officer attempting the stop did not pursue the Audi. At the intersection of North Main Street and Third Street the Audi, which was now travelling north in the southbound lane, struck a Hyundai attempting to turn left onto Third Street. The Audi then travelled onto the sidewalk striking a fire hydrant, a pedestrian and a tree before coming to a stop at the entrance to the Daily Mart parking lot.
The pedestrian suffered injuries to her head, arm and leg; she was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. The driver of the Hyundai and an infant passenger were both transported to a local hospital for evaluation and two other passengers in the Hyundai were treated on the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Audi both ran from the car and have not been located. The driver of the Audi was a white male wearing dark colored shorts, no shirt and a baseball hat. The passenger of the Audi was a light-skinned black male wearing black shirt and pants. Both males ran through the parking lot and where last seen running towards Fourth Street. The Audi was not stolen, detectives are in the process of identifying the driver and an arrest is anticipated in this incident.

HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont announced that the State of Connecticut has launched CTForMe, a new online hub focused on attracting and retaining young talent to the state. The initiative include a website (www.CTForMe.com) and Instagram account (@CTForMe) that feature the organic visual stories of young talent, entrepreneurs, and professionals who live and work in Connecticut.
Content on CTForMe reflects key themes of interest to young professionals, including employment and entrepreneurial opportunities, walkable cities and open spaces, arts and culture, the green economy, the environment and sustainability, community impact, and multiculturalism within Connecticut – all shared in the first-person.
“We know that this last year has had a major impact on where people across the country want to live and work, and Connecticut’s open spaces, smaller cities, and top education and healthcare systems are becoming more attractive now more than ever, including among young professionals,” Governor Lamont said. “This is the perfect time to highlight all the great and unique things about Connecticut. CTForMe is a new way our younger population can engage with each other and share their personal experiences of living and working in Connecticut. I encourage anyone who wants to tell their stories to use the hashtag or reach out – let’s work to get your story out there.”
The CTForMe hub, which is an initiative of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, incorporates original and curated content, including videos, first-person testimonials, news stories, statistics, and career and networking resources. This content will be shared with young talent across Connecticut and in surrounding states through social media programs, media outreach, digital marketing, and search engine marketing.
“The new CTforMe content hub is designed to be a resource for young, talented professionals who are considering making their lives in Connecticut,” Glendowlyn Thames, deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, said. “In addition to the state’s promotion of this content, we are working with HR departments, businesses, associations, community leaders, realtors, and other influencers from across Connecticut to help them integrate these resources into their own recruiting and retention efforts.”
Since the soft launch of CTForMe in January, the website and Instagram account have featured dozens of stories, videos, and news from leading organizations from around Connecticut. CTForMe will serve as a powerful tool for businesses to attract and retain young talent as it demonstrates all Connecticut has to offer. A digital toolkit has already been provided to hundreds of businesses, universities, economic development partners, and nonprofit organizations around the state to assist in this effort.
