2022-10-05@8:58pm– Shelton and Derby CT– A fully involved fire on Caroline Street, multi-family home in Derby As that was going on there was a rollover car fire accident on Route 8 northbound between exits 13 and 12. Fire photographer Sayje Benjamin is on his was as I cover this area. Radio reports say Route 8 is a parking lot and a fire truck was involved in an accident on exit 12.

#Fairfield CT– On 08/07/2022, the Fairfield Police Department received a report from an emergency
veterinary clinic that they were caring for a feline that appeared to be suffering from
injuries, which were deemed suspicious.
The initial investigation determined that the cat was covered in a liquid, later found to be
bleach, had several signs of physical injury, and neurological trauma subsequently dying
as a result of these injuries.
The Fairfield Police Department’s Detective Bureau working in collaboration with Fairfield
Police Animal Control Officers, conducted an in depth and lengthy investigation. Following
a necropsy, veterinarians determined that the cat died as a result of blunt force trauma.
After a review of all evidence, investigators concluded that the person responsible for the
death of this cat was Fairfield resident, Raymond Neuberger and an arrest warrant was
completed. Furthermore, this investigation revealed that Neuberger engaged in violence,
domestic in nature, and a separate arrest warrant was completed.
On 10/04/2022, Raymond Neuberger (38) of Fairfield wasarrested and charged with:
Assault 3rd
Disorderly Conduct
Cruelty to Animals
Neuberger was released after posting a total of $30,000 in court set bonds and is due in Bridgeport Superior Court on 10/05/2022.

law enforcement to arrest the person accused of these crimes.”
Trumbull Mall Fire
2022-10-04@7:00PMish–#Trubmull CT– #ctfire– Firefighters were busy with two incidents going at the same time. Firefighters were called to the Westfield Trumbull Mall at 5065 Main Street for plants on fire in front of the Apple Store. Firefighters were also called to a kitchen fire on Lillian Drive (video posted separately).
2022-10-04@7:00PMish– #Trumbull CT– #ctfire– Trumbull firefighters quickly took care of a kitchen fire on Lillian Drive. Eric Levine, Deputy Chief at Trumbull Volunteer Fire told me that between the homeowner’s actions along with the fire department close by they were able to keep a kitchen fire confined to the kitchen. The fire extended to the cabinet and the vent hood. There were no reported injuries.
