Wednesday afternoon Park City Ford celebrated its 35th anniversary in business. Vazzy’s Catering served up some melt-in-your-mouth steaks to share with clients, and first responders along with the mayor and city council. 35th year is quite an accomplishment and we would like to congratulate them and wish them another 35 years!

Bridgeport News: Mom & Kids Hit By Car

Bridgeport News: Pedestrian Struck–Police said in a statement:
At 08:49hrs the Bridgeport ECC received multiple 911 calls reporting a mother and two children struck by a vehicle in the area of Brewster Street and Fairfield Avenue. Bridgeport Police, Fire and AMR all dispatched. No further reports on the extent of injuries or if the vehicle remained on-scene.
This is an active investigation at this time. Fairfield Ave and Brewster St along with some adjacent streets are closed off to all traffic at this time.

Ansonia News: Cop Shoots Dog After Dog Attacks Him
Ansonia Police UPDATE:
On September 6, 2023 at about 12:00 P.M. an Ansonia Patrol Officer was investigating a suspicious person in the area of Lester Street and High Street. The suspicious party entered the yard of a home on Lester Street and went around the back of the house. When the officer went to the rear of the home looking for the male he was confronted by a german shepard that resided at the home. The officer attempted to back out of the yard but stumbled as the dog came towards him, several shots were fired at the dog and thankfully the dog was not hit by any of the shots. The officer suffered minor injuries in his attempt to elude the dog. The suspicious male was found in the backyard and advised officers on scene he was just cutting through the yard to get to another location.
2023-09-06@12:11pm–#Ansonia CT– A police officer shot a dog at High and Lester Street after the dog attacked the officer. The condition of the officer and dog is not known at this time.
Westport News: Snapped Utility Pole
2023-09-06@2:30pm–#Westport CT– A car has hit and snapped a utility pole at Easton Road and Bayberry Lane. One person was possibly injured. It appears to only affect communications lines, the power is still intact.
Today’s Vehicle Fire
2023-09-06@12:01pm–#Bridgeport CT– Today’s vehicle fire is being hosted by Bridgeport on Hart Street. There was initial concern that the car was in the driveway between two houses but the firefighters quickly got the fire extinguished.
Fairfield News: Water Main Break

Bridgeport Power Outage

I have a number of people reporting the power to be out in the Madison Avenue/Northend area since 6:30pm. The UI outage map says there are still over 400 people out and they hope to have the power restored…by Wednesday. Let’s hope this is a high estimate.
