McKinley’s PTA will be hosting Trunk or Treat at Fairfield Warde High School parking lot on Saturday, October 26th from 2pm-5pm. This event is open to the town. Over 30 cars will be decorating their trunks and passing out candy and treats to children who go from car to car. The cost is $5.00 per child. All proceeds go to McKinley’s PTA. Rain Date is Sunday, October 27th 2pm-5pm.
4:30pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police detain two on Fairfield Avenue near Davidson Street after allegedly taking a rocking chair from Harborview Avenue and walking it in a shopping cart. I’m looking forward to you punny comments on this one!
1:01pm–#Bridgeport CT–A Pine Point Drive (off Chopsey Hill Rd) reported that someone broke into his home overnight and stole the copper out of his house.
12:27pm–#Fairfield CT–First responders are reporting the Post Road is a “parking lot”. This is due to an accident on I-95. If you can avoid your shopping trip it is recommended….you’ll just sit in traffic. If you are stuck in traffic you might as well stop and have lunch at Chef’s Table at 1561 Post Road!
12:10pm–#Fairfield CT–#cttraffic–I-95 southbound is very slow going after a crash. The firefighters are just clearing the scene but the traffic is at a crawl trigger other fender benders.
Big Day of Serving– a nationwide Christian Youth group movement will bring nearly 400 volunteers in grades 6-12 from throughout the tri-state area to Bridgeport on Saturday, October 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to tackle a variety of projects throughout the City which will enliven and transform neighborhoods. Each Big Day of Serving team will partner with a city Neighborhood Revitalization Zone in the East Side, East End, South End, West Side, Black Rock, Mill Hill and the Hollow to tackle cleanup projects ranging from landscaping to removing graffiti to recycling.
The effort kicks off at 7:30 a.m. at Cesar Batalla School, 606 Howard Avenue. Participants will fan out throughout the City to various neighborhoods to tackle projects.

3:03pm–#Bridgeport CT–A school bus monitor has been injured after being assaulted by a student who then jumped out of the bus and fled the scene. The bus is currently pulled over at Mountain Grove and Ash Street. EMS and police on the way.
5:21pm–#Fairfield CT–Police called to the playground at Jennings Beach where a man in his fifties is recording children on the playground. He reportedly has a large camera and the woman was able to see what he was recording……
