Milford News: Credit Card Theft (12 Counts)

#Milford CT–On February 28, 2023, Herlyne Demosthenes, 26 of Stratford was taken into custody for an arrest warrant stemming from a fraud incident reported in January at the Holiday Inn Express while she was an employee. CHARGE(S): Credit Card Theft (12 Counts) and Larceny 3rd Degree.

BOND: $5,000 COURT: 3-28-2023.

Milford News: Fighting With Mall Security

#Milford CT–On February 25, 2023, officers responded to the Connecticut Post Mall for a report of a large fight. Upon arrival, they observed Lamont Jefferson, 18 of Derby causing a disturbance with Mall Security officers. Security said that they were attempting to break up a large fight when Jefferson became combative and refused to leave when asked by security. He was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree Breach of Peace 2nd Degree. He was released on a promise to appear in court.

Milford News: Violation of a Criminal Protective Order

#Milford CT– On February 24, 2023, officers responded to a Robert Treat Drive residence for two 911 hangups where screaming was heard in the background. Officers learned that the resident had a full no-contact protective order

against Keddy Rivera, 28 of Bridgeport. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who appeared in distress and said that Rivera was in the apartment. They found Rivera in the rear bedroom, and he was taken into custody. Rivera was processed and posted bond for his release.

On February 25, 2023, at 11:16 am, police received several calls to the non-emergency number from the victim. The victim sounded out of breath and panicked but said that everything was fine and hung up. Officers responded to the residence and spoke to the victim. They stated that Rivera had called them after his release, violating the protective order. Rivera later turned himself into the police department and was taken into custody and charged with two counts of a violation of productive custody. His bond was set at $70,000.

Milford News: Multiple Charges


#Milford CT–On February 11, 2023, police received a call that a male had stolen a license plate off a truck and slashed tires at 440 Wheelers Farm Road. Officers found 8 vans damaged, including plates stolen, tires slashed and broken mirrors. A short time later, officers responded to a W. Rutland Road address. The caller stated that they believed Ryan Finch was driving intoxicated. While officers were speaking to the caller, Finch drove at a high rate of speed into the driveway and onto the front lawn. Finch was in the driver’s seat holding an alcoholic beverage.

During the investigation, it was determined that Finch was responsible for the damage at 440 Wheelers Farm Road and was intoxicated. He was charged with:

Driving Under the Influence, Interfering with an Officer, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, and Larceny 6th Degree. His bond was set for $1,000.

Milford News: Fight!

#Milford CT–On February 8, 2023, officers were dispatched to the area of Bridgeport Avenue and Naugatuck Avenue for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, the victim stated that they got into a verbal argument with Bryant, who then pushed them to the ground. A witness observed Bryant shake the victim and push them every time they

attempted to get off the ground. He was charged with Breach of Peace and was released on a promise to appear in court.

Milford News: Fight At Parsons Center

On January 29, 2023, officers were dispatched to the Parsons Center Gymnasium for a fight. The victim stated that they were at a youth basketball game when a woman from an opposing team began using profanity and yelling very loudly. The victim asked the woman not to use offensive language and moved away from the

woman. After the game, the victim was waiting in the vestibule when two women approached them and began swearing at them. The victim walked outside, and the two women followed and assaulted them. Janet and Lawry Jefferson were identified as the assailants, along with a juvenile suspect. All were charged with Breach of Peace 2nd degree and released on a promise to appear in court.

Milford News: Pursuit With Children In Car

#Milford CT–On January 7, 2023, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle near 207 Sub Way. The vehicle accelerated, driving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was ultimately stopped in Ansonia and the operator was identified as Kyle Lewis of Stratford. There were two small children in the vehicle. He was charged with Engaging Police in Pursuit, Reckless Driving, and Risk of Injury to a Minor. His bond was set at $1,000 and has a February 7 court date.

Milford News: Assault and Other Charges

#Milford CT–On January 20, 2023, police were dispatched to the Mayflower Motel for an assault. The victim stated that they let Tykuan Kelly, 30 of Bridgeport use their vehicle and he was supposed to bring it back by 10pm. Upon returning to the motel after

midnight, they approached Kelly as he exited the vehicle. Kelly grabbed them around the neck and slammed them into the motel wall. He then grabbed them by the neck with two hands and began to strangle them, restricting their breathing. Kelly then slammed them to the ground. Kelly then returned to his motel room. The

victim received medical attention at the scene. Kelly was taken into custody by officers and arrested. A $10,000 bond was set on charges of Assault 3rd Degree,

Strangulation 2nd Degree and Breach of Peace 2nd Degree.
