Domestic Violence – Assault

#Milford CT–On December 7, 2022, officers responded to an assault at Mobil on the Run. The victim stated that they were driving with Adrian Belle when they began arguing. Belle, 46 of New Haven began to strike the victim with his hands. They exited the vehicle and Belle continued to strike them and pulled their hand extensions out. The victim was knocked to the ground and Belle continued to assault them. The victim ran away and was met by officers. Belle was found at the gas station. Through their investigation, officers found that there was an active protective order against Belle. Milford News: Disorderly Conduct

#Milford CT– On December 7, 2022, officers responded to a Village Road residence for a report of a domestic violence incident. The victim stated that they got into a verbal argument with Phillip Micalizzi. While they were arguing, he got up from his chair. Micalizzi grabbed them by the hips and pushed them, causing them to fall to the ground and hit their head. He was charged accordingly and released on a promise to appear in court.

Milford News: Police Investigate Homicide

Police UPDATE:

Yesterday, December 6th, at 9:01pm, the Milford Police Department received a 911 call from the victim’s 17 yr. old child stating that his mother was being assaulted by a male inside their home at 76 Salem Walk. The first arriving officers cleared the residence and discovered that the suspect had fled prior to their arrival. The victim

was found deceased inside the home. It is believed that the suspect used an axe during the attack, however, this will be officially determined by the medical examiner.

The victim’s younger child, age 3, was located in the home unharmed. Both children are currently in the care of family members. The suspect, Ewen Dewitt, was later located in West Haven and taken into custody. The crime scene is currently being processed by the Detective Division.

DeWitt has been charged with the following:

Murder

Criminal Violation of a Standing Criminal Protective Order

Criminal Violation of a Restraining Order

Risk of Injury

Reckless Endangerment

Dewitt was arraigned at the Connecticut Superior Court in Milford today and is being held on a $5,000,000 bond. This investigation is ongoing.

The suspect was previously arrested by Milford Police in November 2019 for assaulting the victim and a Protective Order was issued at that time by the court.

On December 1, 2022, the victim was granted a full no contact Restraining Order against the suspect following a complaint that the suspect sent her harassing text messages. The victim and the suspect were in a prior dating relationship. The last known address for the suspect is in Roxbury, CT.

2022-12-06 #Milford CT– Milford police are investigating a homicide at 76 Salem Walk. Police say it was a targeted attack. The suspect was captured within a couple of hours.

Milford News: Multiple Charges

#Milford CT–On November 29, 2022, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident. The victim was following behind the offending vehicle, who had not stopped after the accident. The vehicle eventually stopped in the lot of 1061 Boston Post Road. When officers approached the vehicle, both the driver and passenger were passed out sleeping. After a significant effort to wake the males, they finally regained consciousness. After an investigation, it was determined that the driver, Didier Salas, was intoxicated. He struggled with officers when they were attempting to detain him. After a significant struggle, he was handcuffed and placed under the arrest.

Driving in the Right Lane

Operating with a Suspended License

Unregistered Motor Vehicle

Interfering with an Officer

He was given a $1,000 bond and a December 28 court date.
