Arthur’s Famous is DoingItLocal!
Arthur’s Famous Pizza is DoingItLocal! Last week I get a message from Louis Sanchez about this place. Thinking he was the owner as often the case I was so impressed he a worker there. PRIDE. You don’t see that often these days. When I got there everyone there was so proud of what they did! We knew if we going to do a picture it would have to be with the crew! Oh yea, Tim is the owner. Again with the pride as he told me how he was able to reopen the restaurant after a two year absence when the original owner Arthur of 55 years passed. All the original recipes and the of course the sauce.
The make one size pizza, a ten inch personal size. The purist in me ordered a cheese pizza ($6.25) and I just knew my wife and son would love the Famous Special which had pepperoni, sausage, meatball, onions, peppers and mushrooms for just $9.50. OMG this was awesome! Driving home I was nervous that the two pies I ordered for four people wouldn’t be enough. We had leftovers and we all loved it. No wonder why its famous!
Arthur’s Famous Pizza is located just two blocks from the University of Bridgeport at 430 Park Avenue. They offer free deliver on orders over $15 to businesses in certain areas. Tim said he hopes to have delivery to residences soon.
Now I understand the pride, they have every right, the food is sooooo goood!
