Street robbery
12:32am–#Bridgeport CT–A man was beaten and robbed by 10-15 youths at Waterman Street and Stratford Avenue. Police investigating and MAY have a couple of them in custody. Victim on the way to the hospital.

12:07am–#Bridgeport CT–Police breaking up a large street fight at Noble and Arctic Ave.
2 detained after break in
12:00am–#Bridgeport CT–Woman hears two trying to break in to her home in the 200 block of Earl Avenue (Indian Ave side). She gathers the kids and barricades themselves int he bedroom the calls police. She told police she has a permit for a handgun and will use it if need be. Good thing the cops got to them first!
Stratford drive by shooting
11:32pm–#Stratford CT– Boston Avenue at Bruce Street is closed due to a police investigation of a drive by shooting. Two cars were shooting at each other and a bullet lodged into a home. Police are investigating. Sounds like the investigation is widening as they have requested a Bridgeport Police car to block traffic on the Bridgeport side. Avoid the area!

Mayor Q&A in The Hollow Scheduled
Mayor Finch will visit with residents of The Hollow neighborhood in his continuing series of Community Cabinet meetings on Monday, Aug. 26 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the cafeteria at Geraldine Johnson School, 475 Lexington Avenue. All Hollow residents are welcome to attend to hear from Mayor Finch about progress on City initiatives and projects. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
Community Cabinet meetings are also planned in the following neighborhoods:
· North End on Sept. 12, 6 to 7:30 p.m., Discovery Interdistrict Magnet School, 4510 Park Avenue
· Brooklawn/St. Vincent’s on Sept. 26, 6 to 7:30 p.m.; location to be determined.

Kids in a rowboat getting pulled out from coast by tide in Fairfield
4:29pm–#Fairfield CT– Report of a 3 juveniles in a rowboat getting pulled away from the coast by the tide in the area of 2143 Fairfield Beach Road. Updates will come as the scene progresses. UPDATE– The boat has been located and does not appear to be in distress.
