Fire rips thorugh home in Fairfield

Just before 5pm Friday a passerby reported to fire dispatch that there was a fire at the corner of Foggwood Road and Foggwood Circle in the Greenfield Hills section of Fairfield.
A short while later a neighbor phoned confirming it was 100Foggwood Road and that all the occupants were out of the homes safely. Firefighters on arrival confirmed a heavily involved fire on the left side of the home. Assistant Fire Chief George Gomola lead the charge in the pouring rain calling in for more resources and mutual aid from surround towns to cover the town while the battled this blaze.
An SUV fully involved in flames was in the driveway and used a lineman for a good extent of the fire due to the gasoline burning off. The garage was burnt to the ground. The fire extended into the home and into the attic. Gomola called to have the attic cut open to vent the house. Firefighters are still on scene and their investigation into the fire has just begun.

Flooding
1:35pm–#Fairfield CT–Police are putting up barricades in the usual areas that flood. This will happen in all towns as the rain piles up. If it looks flooded it more than likely is so don’t cross it.
Shots fired
1:11pm–#Bridgeport CT–Witnesses call police of a man on foot near Maplewood and Mountain Grove with a gun. They discover a jeep shot up. Police are looking for the man dressed in all black on foot in the area.
Smoke in a basement
1:03pm–#Fairfield CT–Firefighters on the way to 100 Vermont Avenue for smoke in the basement.
Oakleaf Street Homicide Victim Identified
The Police Department is releasing the identity of a homicide victim who died from gunshot wounds on Tuesday. His identity was confirmed through fingerprint analysis.
Ramon Bueno-Andujar, 48, was found on Oakleaf Street on Tuesday suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Patrol officers had responded to the area of Trumbull Avenue on Tuesday at approximately 1 a.m. on a report of shots fired. Shortly thereafter reports came in of a man down in front of 85 Oakleaf St. Upon arrival a male was located lying on the street suffering from numerous gunshot wounds.
The victim, was pronounced dead at the scene by A.M. R. personnel. The victim’s vehicle, a 2002 Land Rover Freelander, was parked at the curb next to the victim.
At this time the Bridgeport Police Department Detective Division is investigating the homicide, the city’s 5th of the year. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lt. Chris Lamaine at 203-581-5206. No motive has been established at this time.
