The circuit did reset but something must have malfunctioned when the residents called Fairfield Emergency Communications of a fire in the attic. Ladder was first on scene and reported heavy smoke in the rear of the attic. I arrived as the second fire truck arrived on scene and have some incredible views of the Fairfield Fire Department spring into action. It appears that the firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to the attic. Bridgeport and Westport provided mutual aid to the town. Southport Fire Department lit the scene up like a movie set. All residents evacuated the home without injury. A mother and child from the home were taken by EMS just to keep both warm.
