Possible Structure Fire
2:27pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters called to 1062 Fairfield Avenue for a possible structure fire on the 2nd floor. Firefighters on scene reporting nothing visible from the street, going in to investigate. UPDATE—Food burning on the stove, heavy smoke condition in the building.

Bridgeport man charged in Fairfield TD Bank incident
Alfred M. Capozziello 3rd (DOB 01/30/69) of 139 Hawthorne Street Bridgeport, CT was
arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Robbery 2nd, Unlawful Restraint
2nd, Threatening 2nd and Breach of Peace after he ordered an acquaintance of his to
travel with him to TD Bank North at 1715 Black Rock Tnpk., to withdraw funds from the
victim’s personal bank account stemming from a debt that he was owed. Capozziello
was reported to have threatened the victim with a firearm however none was found but
admitted to threatening to harm the victim.
Responding officers were informed that a male described to be wearing a red and black
jacket may be involved in the incident. Two Fairfield officers who were working a private
duty job were in the area and responded to the call. Officer’s Vaspasiano and Dimarco
located a male fitting the description walking out of the bank where he was detained
pending further investigation. He was subsequently identified as Alfred Capozziello.
Officers interviewed the victim inside the bank who claimed that he had just
been “robbed”. He explained that he had been at his home in Bridgeport when two men
one of, whom he knew as Capozziello, entered his house and demanded at gunpoint
that he accompany them to a bank to withdraw money. The two men drove him to the
TD Bank in attempt to force him to withdraw money. He alerted the teller inside the bank
who called 911.
The second suspect left in a Mercedes prior to police arrival, it has not been located
and the registration plate is unknown. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic
male, no further description. Any reports of weapons being displayed in this crime are
unconfirmed. There is no available video at this time.
Capozziello was given a court date of 05/08/2013 and released after posting $10,000.00
bond.
Detectives are continuing this investigation today, as new information develops it will be
disseminated.

Foot pursuit/manhunt in Bridgeport
11:04pm–#Bridgeport CT–A briefly chased a car from Seaview Ave to the on ramp of I-95. It became a foot pursuit and they ran off down Seaview Avenue near Beardsley Street area. Heavy police presence in the area. 12:00am–UPDATE–One in custody after an extensive search. Reports indicate a large quantity of PCP was found in the car.

8:48pm–#Bridgeport CT–Report of an odor of gas inside a mobile home at 272 Garfield Avenue. Firefighters on the way. Turns out to be a gasoline leak under the mobile home.
