2 Shot In Bridgeport
Just after 8:11pm Sunday night police received numerous calls for shots fired on Hurd and Goodsell Street. A man with a long gun shot inside the gray SUV at Hurd and Goodsell Street . The SUV fled the scene to St. Vincent’s Hospital where two people inside
UPDATE–Police press release: (Bridgeport, CT — April 22, 2013) — Two people were wounded Sunday evening in a shooting. Officers responded to 207 Hurd Ave. just after 8 p.m. on a report of shots fired. When patrol officers arrived, they learned that two victims had been hit and were being taken by private vehicles to St. Vincent’s.
Police responded to the hospital. At the shooting scene, police located a tan four-door Buick in which the victims had been seated, parked across from 207 Hurd Ave. The vehicle had been struck numerous times by bullets. The victims who arrived at the hospital are: Kenneth Ebanks, 22, of Bridgeport. He was seated in the right rear seat of the vehicle. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen and arm. The second victim is Ashley Llyons, also 22, of Bridgeport. She was seated in the left rear of the vehicle and suffered a gunshot wound to the left hip.
Witnesses stated that an unknown vehicle pulled alongside the parked vehicle containing the victims and shots were fired. Both are reported in stable, but serious condition. Detectives responded and are investigating.

Chimney Fire in Fairfield
9:28pm–#Fairfield CT–Reports of sparks coming from the chimney and smoke in the attic at 78 Rockland Road. Recall quickly sounded with two trucks remaining on scene.

1:18pm–#Fairfield CT #ctfire– Firefighters quickly extinguish a house fire at 382 Reef Road. Fire marshal requested to the scene.
Pushed out of a car and run over
2:26am–#Bridgeport CT– A woman is at St. Vincent’s Emergency Room where she says she was at a bar on Main Street, she is uncertain where exactly. On the way home she was pushed out of the car that was moving and run over. Police are investigating.

State Bomb Squad Called To Brewster Street
12:28am–#Bridgeport CT–The streets taped off as a crime scene has widened at the corner of Brewster Street, firefighters on scene and State Bomb Squad on the way. At 11:31pm we reported that the corner of Brewster Street in front of the Subway is being taped off due to a suspicious package, a backpack left in between the newspaper machines in front.
1:22am–UPDATE–All clear bomb squad packing up turns out to be nothing, same for the call at the Citgo Station on Reservoir Ave
